The Florida Housing Market Today

the Media Spin”
The Florida real estate market between
2002-2005 was
running out of
control. Home prices were increasing as much as 26% a
year…primarily due to investors and speculators, combined with give
away credit and low interest rates.
Real Estate is very
local
despite all of the national news
coverage. The market in Minneapolis is vastly different from the
Tampa Bay market. Today's strategy for Tampa Bay buyers is to
take advantage of the BUYERS MARKET to find the bargains not seen since
2000.
So what about
getting a
mortgage at a decent rate? If you have good
credit you can get a loan with a competitive
rate. Interest rates on 30 year fixed loans have continued to drop in
recent weeks but now look like they will be headed up. And
even if your credit is less than perfect
you can still get a loan at a good rate if you borrow less than
$230,000.
This market affords

of the best bargains we have seen in
years. We have been making deals between $43,100 and $89,300
below
the actual appraised
market value....(not listed price). That means instant equity. You
couldn't do that in the past "sellers markets".
